Valentine’s at Pump Room Bath

Originating from an ancient Roman festival celebrating the coming of spring, Valentine’s Day has evolved throughout the ages to become a day of love and romance. In the mid-18th century, the new postal services made it possible to send anonymous messages of adoration. Today, a heartfelt card is just one part of this heart-warming occasion.

For a truly magical Valentine’s experience, The Pump Room Restaurant is putting on three nights of Champagne cocktails, live music and a delicious four-course meal. Choose from 14, 15 or 16 February.

Served in the Georgian Pump Room under glittering chandeliers, you may start dinner with a delicious pheasant terrine or perhaps a hot smoked salmon with horseradish cream. For mains, choose a delicious Wiltshire lamb, dauphinoise potato and redcurrant gravy or for fish lovers a roast sea bass, potato and rosemary rosti, with tomato tapenade. Finally, indulge your sweet tooth with a Belgian chocolate torte and raspberry sauce or vanilla brulee , shortbread hearts, and passion fruit sauce, the cherry on top of this Valentine’s feast.

Live music throughout will set the mood for a starry-eyed evening of romance that you will never forget.
